    Ironforge is the capital city of the dwarves, a member race of the Alliance.) are an ancient race of robust humanoids who live beneath the snow-capped mountains of Khaz Modan (Khaz Modan is the name of the mountainous continent containing the homeland of the Ironforge Clan, the kingdom of Ironforge (aka kingdom of Khaz Modan[1]), which is ruled by the Bronzebeard Clan.). The Dwarves (In past ages, the dwarves rarely left the safety of their mountain fortresses.) have always been fast allies with the Humans (Humans in Warcraft are a resilient species native to the Eastern Kingdoms, where they founded seven kingdoms that banded together in the Second War.), and they revel in the prospects of battle and storytelling alike. The nobility of the Ironforge dwarves are born from the Bronzebeard clan. They are are one of the clans of "mountain dwarves (This is a page for racial terms in Warcraft Lore.)"LoC 19. They are the ruling clan of Ironforge, within the older Ironforge Clan (Ironforge Clan was apparently the original Dwarven clan that evolved from the Earthen.).LoC 69

    History

    Like all Dwarves, the members of the Bronzebeard Clan are descendants of the Earthen (The Earthen are stony proto-beings similar to dwarves created by the Titans to help shape the world of Azeroth.).

    Under the leadership of Madoran Bronzebeard (Madoran was ruling Thane of Ironforge and Ironforge Clan during the War of the Three Hammers.), the Bronzebeard Clan continued to control Ironforge during the War of the Three Hammers (See also : War of the Three Hammers (History of Warcraft).) when most of the Ironforge Clan (Ironforge Clan was apparently the original Dwarven clan that evolved from the Earthen.), the Wildhammer Clan (The Wildhammers are a clan of dwarves currently centered in the Hinterlands, although many can be found in Outland as well.) and the Dark Iron Clan (The Dark Iron Clan was ruled by the Sorcerer-thane Thaurissan and was unsuccessful in wresting control of Ironforge from the Bronzebeard Clan and the Wildhammer Clan.)'s armies had been destroyed by Ragnaros (LucifronMagmadarGehennasGarrBaron GeddonShazzrahSulfuron HarbingerGolemagg the IncineratorMajordomo ExecutusRagnaros
