  • Where the "Crushridge" Realm name comes from: (Courtesy of WoWWiki.)

The Crushridge are a clan of ogres (Ogres are large, brutish humanoids originally from Draenor.) that have taken up residence in the ruins of Alterac (Past Ruler: Lord Perenolde

Alterac was one of the seven human nations to join the Alliance of Lordaeron during the Second War.). The Crushridge ogres are cunning, massive and strong. Leftovers from the Second War, these ogres have thrown off orc rule for their own primitive ways. They live in Alterac City and kill whatever they can. They are cagey and surprisingly shrewd. Under Mug'Thol's guidance, the Crushridge tribe has become a brutal and feared force in the Alterac Mountains. The tribe's combined might is formidable, and it relies on brute strength to attain its goals. The warriors of the tribe simply trample their enemies under a massive, raging charge. The tribe is easily roused to full battle. Keeping the tribal stronghold, protecting territory and finding food are the tribe's main concernsLoC 86

After the Second War, they joined the Stonemaul (The Stonemaul Clan sailed west to Kalimdor since the Second War and established a village in Dustwallow Marsh.) tribe. They have since split from the Stonemaul (The Stonemaul Clan sailed west to Kalimdor since the Second War and established a village in Dustwallow Marsh.) tribe who travelled to Kalimdor (In the World of Warcraft on the world of Azeroth, there are three main continents.) and now live in the Dustwallow Marsh ( Night Elf (1,800) Dwarf (1,440) High Elf (960) Gnome (600)Ogre (480) Orc (360) Troll (360) Tauren (360) Black Dragonflight (360) Forsaken (240) Goblin (147)

Dustwallow Marsh is a vast and ancient swamp that is home to many old and wonderful beasts.). Their leader, Mug'thol (Mug'thol, a ferocious and crafty warlord, rules the Crushridge Clan.), enslaved by the Banshee queen, was able to free himself of Sylvanas Windrunner (Lady Sylvanas Windrunner is a level ?? faction leader located in the Royal Quarter in Undercity.)'s control using the Crown of Will (Sylvanas Windrunner sent her possessed slave, Mug'thol the ogre lord, to retrieve the crown for her.), broke away from the Forsaken (The Forsaken are a faction of undead who broke away from the Scourge and took control of much of the kingdom of Lordaeron, destroyed during the Third War by the death knight Arthas.), renamed his clan the Crushridge and established a new home in Crushridge Hold.

The Crushridge Clan currently controls the fallen human city of Alterac (Past Ruler: Lord Perenolde

Alterac was one of the seven human nations to join the Alliance of Lordaeron during the Second War.). The Syndicate (The Syndicate is a chaotic and evil organization.), being the remnants of Alterac (Past Ruler: Lord Perenolde

Alterac was one of the seven human nations to join the Alliance of Lordaeron during the Second War.)'s citizenry, are in a constant battle with the Crushridge ogres for supremacy of the region.
