Eitrigg is a level 20 quest giver (Quest givers are NPCs that provide quests for players.) located in Grommash Hold (Thrall holds court inside the hold, while outside a traveler may find a monument to the orcs' triumph over demonic influence.) in the Valley of Wisdom (The Valley of Wisdom is the seat of the orcish warchief, Thrall.), in the orcish (The green skinned orcs are one of the most prolific races of Azeroth.) city of Orgrimmar (Darnassus • Ironforge • Stormwind City The Exodar
Shattrath City Dalaran
Orgrimmar • Thunder Bluff • Undercity Silvermoon City
Orgrimmar is the capital city of the orcs and trolls.).
See List of Orgrimmar NPCs (The following NPCs can be found in the city of Orgrimmar.).
Background Eitrigg is an aging Orc (The green skinned orcs are one of the most prolific races of Azeroth.) warrior who served with valor and distinction during the First and Second War. After he learned the truth of Gul'dan's (Gul'dan the Warlock, Master of the Inner Circle of the Shadow Council and Destroyer of Dreams, was the de facto leader of the Horde in its early years, and believed to be the most powerful mortal warlock ever to exist.) betrayal and his bargain with Kil'jaeden (Kalecgos BrutallusFelmystEredar TwinsM'uruKil'jaeden
Kil'jaeden the Deceiver is a powerful eredar demon lord and is the acting leader of the Burning Legion.), Eitrigg fled into the wilderness of Lordaeron. He was discovered years later living in the ruins of an abandoned watch tower by the paladin (The Paladin is a Holy Warrior hybrid class.) Tirion Fordring (Tirion Fordring is a level 61 elite quest giver located by a cottage near the southwestern end of the Terrorweb Tunnel in the contested territory of Eastern Plaguelands.). At first regarding each other as nothing but enemies, Eitrigg ended up saving unconscious Tirion's life by pulling him out of the tower as it collapsed. From that point forward, Tirion felt he owed a debt of honor to the orc. This was not enough to prevent Eitrigg from being captured however. It is certain that the orc would have been put to death in Stratholme ( Human

He regarded Tirion as his human brother after such losses to save him.
After meeting Warchief (Even the Horde has had its share of "false Warchiefs".) Thrall (Thrall, son of Durotan, is the Warchief of the restored shamanistic Horde, and ruler of the red land of Durotar in Kalimdor.), Eitrigg found that his people had rediscovered their shamanistic (The Shaman (for correct spelling and more on the word, see Shaman Spelling) is a healer - warrior - mage hybrid class, and as such, Shamans are considered one of the most versatile classes in the game.) roots, and returned to life among his own kind. He currently serves with the Horde as an advisor, and can be found in Thrall's throne room in Orgrimmar (Darnassus • Ironforge • Stormwind City The Exodar

Memorable quotes"Do you think my people survived in your world this long using brute strength alone? Your kind (Humans in Warcraft are a resilient species native to the Eastern Kingdoms, where they founded seven kingdoms that banded together in the Second War.) has always underestimated mine (The green skinned orcs are one of the most prolific races of Azeroth.). That is why you lost the first war (The First War between orcs and humans was fought following the arrival on Azeroth of the orcish clans of Draenor.), I think."
"You (Tirion Fordring is a level 61 elite quest giver located by a cottage near the southwestern end of the Terrorweb Tunnel in the contested territory of Eastern Plaguelands.) have great honor, for a human. That much was clear from our fight. No honorable warrior deserves to die like a trapped animal. It would not have been right to simply leave you there. Besides, I have seen enough death in my time."
"There is much you do not know about my people. Their honor and their pride left them long ago. I decided my duty to them was finished when my sons were killed."
"All orcs are warriors, human. We know little else. Despite my sons' strength and prowess, they were betrayed by their own leaders. During the last war (The Second War was a conflict between the Alliance of Lordaeron and the Old Horde, engulfing all the lands of the Eastern Kingdoms, and ending with the victory for the Alliance.) our clan chieftains fought amongst themselves over petty rivalries. As one particularly bloody battle concluded, my sons were ordered to pull back from the front lines. One of our chieftain's rivals, hoping to advance his clan's standing within the Horde, countermanded the order and sent my sons and their brethren back to be slaughtered. It was a dark day for our clan... A dark day for me. I realized then that there was no hope. Corruption and enmity had completely overshadowed my people's spirit. I felt that it was only a matter of time before the Horde devoured itself from within."
"We are bound by blood and honour, brother. I will not forget you."
